Australia native Daniel Thorne creates a restrained yet turbulent sonic experience via his debut album with Erased Tapes.
The album's concept started with the perspective of taking an aerial view of the earth. What means to be all physical beings, both natural and human-made alike, get transformed to just geometry. Thorne recreates this visual experience through the oscillation within some narrowly-spaced notes created by his saxophone and synth. The flickering and wobbling of a stretched elastic band are interpreted through his repetitive yet organic frequencies found in this meditative exercise.
