In this live recording at the Chelsea's The Cell Theater, Brooklyn bassist Josh Werner spearheaded an album of music that accompanied his paintings made during his residency at the Cell. In almost all the tracks Werner's baselines were the only foundation of chord progression from which drummer Ches Smith, clarinetist Patrick Holmes and saxophonist James Brandon Lewis slash out almost 40 minutes worth of musical interpretation of Werner's abstract yet organic paintings.
