Normafa is a live recording captured via a mobile phone. The trio played a set paying homage to the jazz greats in this hiking / ski resort in the Buda Hills during summer of 2021.
 
The fact that the record also captured the audience chitchatting creates an additional distance between the music and the listeners. The instrumentation sounds subdued but spirited as if the jazz fathers (well, except Herbie Hancocks) were well and alive via incarnations. Standing out from the record is drummer Levente Boros' ghostly snares throughout the album.
 
The album pieces seven classics from Fela Kuti, Pharoah Sanders, Herbie Hancocks, John Coltrane, etc...without interruption. This allows the audience to bask in over 30 minutes of harmonies true to the original forms, and reinterpreted via their improvisations.
