Raw Bites is the 2nd release under the Estonian-based RR Gems label. This septet from Finland leashes out an album worth of tight-knitted rhythm section topped with soulful horn work. Influences from America can be felt all over, there is the soul jazz keys groove one could relate to the Black Jazz catalogue, one could also reminisce the modal sax chops  so characterized in the US  late 70s / early 80s post bop era.
This is your road trip soundtrack not expected to come out of the Nordic.
